Accident because of the blast fence? Doubtful, security breach is more probable.

That's unacceptable behavior on the pilot's part. At the same time Delta should experience an email box full of shame from every flight forced to park or depart that mess. And with all the idiotic nonsense the TSA has an issue with, how do THEY overlook that disaster waiting to happen?

Flew with an LCA recently who told me we are no longer de-selecting the external AC power switch when disconnecting from ground power. Is this written somewhere? Why aren't memos put out to put such things out to the pilot group?
