Quote: It’s not 90%, it’s 350 pilots for 35 aircraft that we can’t operate anyway.
The Compass LOA stated "No more than 90% of pilot positions at Compass will be preserved for furloughed
Delta pilots."

I feel like you are crossing the streams....

If the flow down doesn't exist, then 35 x 76 seaters go away.

If the flow down did exist, no more than 90% of the compass seniority list could be replaced with mainline pilots.

Quote: That could be any combination between the 3 DCI companies or think like Delta Management and just remove 1 or more seats from 35 aircraft....problem solved.

i think regional pilots invented FAKE NEWS!
Not 1 seat...need to pull 6 per aircraft to get below 71.

The section of the contract that the Compass LOA mentioned for the reducitons states "aircraft configured with 71-76 passenger seats".

So those planes would now be maxed at 70 seats, but I believe DCI was already at the PWA limit of 102 planes in the 51-70 seat range.

If you flushed 90% of the pilot group at Endeavor, Delta has to continue paying, or buy out those flushed pilots due to the bridge agreement. I don't know what the solution to that is, probably Delta permanently parking those aircraft. That's 350+ additional pilots on the street.

The parking 35 76-seaters because of the flow back issue is one thing, but what about if/when mainline only brings back 80% of its fleet? Aren’t there scope implications there too? Smaller mainline fleet=smaller RJ fleet mandated by scope?

I am not that well versed in DL scope, but I thought that’s how it worked.

Someone correct me if I am wrong, but I believe the authorized RJ count is an aggregate of DALPAs total negotiation package. Not a moving ratio of A/C at maineline to DCI.

When everything is negotiable, SCOPE is negotiable...

Kind of....

The max number of 76 seaters was 153, but if ML added a new small NB fleet (717), the number could be raised above 153 at a ratio of 1x 76 seater for every 1.25 NB, up to a max of 223 x 76 seaters.

But as the number of 76 seaters went up, the number of 50 seaters had to go down. 1 Jan of every year the ratio is looked at if the number of 76 seaters remains above 153.

If the max number of 76 seaters is maintained (223), the max number of 50 seaters is capped at 125.

And don’t forget about the 102 70 seaters

Is there any language about removing A/C due to a loss of maineline hulls?
