I would expect LGA to be the junior base on the 145 for years to come. In the past it was junior for FO's. If you want it as a new hire your chances are high.

Last week we had 20ish new hires.... anyone ever say what the break down was?

Yup. I remember from back in the days that if you were a brand new Captain, you would end up in LGA or MIA. Speaking of MIA, latest MEC podcast stating that MIA base is still very much in place.

Maybe it's also very small and an exbase. it was 500 pilots total 15 months ago. It might go sr for awhile like lax was. It's also the easier commute from Miami.

Obviously the 145 has no long term home there and that's theeentirehang up.

But over half of the NY FO's are on other equipment, have upgraded or quit. We will see.

This is part of the reason I believe it will be a junior Fo base.

Quote: Considering a jump into the 121 world after some time in 135. Looking at Envoy hoping to get some info from current pilots. I've looked back on many pages of this thread but it seems stuff is changing, hopefully for the better?

1) Is the LGA base really happening and how soon, could a new hire expect this out of training?

2)If no LGA, what are the average reserve times for ORD?

3) How long until new hire can hold a line in ORD? Are the the majority of these lines non commuter friendly?
Time spent on reserve is directly correlated to the rate of new hires following your start date. The last time we were able to attract this many new hires they reserve time was counted in weeks instead of months.

As with respect to lines, ask this question in about 10 days.

It's a great time to be a Mesa pilot!!!

Oh wait..wrong thread. I didn't think all this sounded right for Mesa. Disregard.

How does this 20k bonus work on day 1, I assume this is taxed very heavily?

What is the required time to stay to not have to pay this back. Don't plan on leaving but if another major called before flow time it would be hard not to leave. How would they want you to pay this bonus back if you resign prior to the required time?
