(also what's the average prep time before heading up to DFW? I got a call for an interview and i'm worried that 3 days isn't enough to study... but i've already been reviewing jepp charts and my Intrument oral guide from my time @ ATP )
From my experience, aviationinterviews.com was completely worth it. You will get many gouges for envoy and other airlines. In my day, I was able to find specific ATP questions as well as sim profiles to study. I have no affiliation with the website. My best advice is to triple check all paperwork as many are dismissed for incomplete paperwork. Be humble and honest. From what new hires tell me it is a very good experience and very professionally executed

I second this. Dot every i and cross every t. Have you logbooks neat and presentable. Prepare for the interview.

Spending $20 to gain a $20,000 check on your first day is a no brainier. This could be your last interview before becoming a pilot at American.

With hundreds of apps submitted since the announcement, recruiting can be more selective. I'm not saying the interview is hard, it's definitely not. Just prepare and show them you want the job.

His.. GET SheppardAir as early as possible.... Don't wait until later. You'll want to start before GOT will give you a greater POM.

Good morning,

I am scheduled for the Dec 5th class date and I have a few questions. I was told two different things by pilot recruitment. First I was told that I would have Indoc from the 5th-12th and then a break until Jan 1st. I was also told later that I might have ground school through the holidays. Does anyone know which one of these are correct? Also, if I do have the break until Jan 1st, is that paid? If someone can PM me, I would appreciate it. I have a few other questions as well. Thanks!

When I went through it was a week of indoc followed by 2 weeks of home study. Not really a break but at least you are at home. And yes paid for it. Not Sure on per diem though.

24/7 per diem from day 1 indoc until you complete ioe. I forget the monthly pay but it's your block rate at xx hours a month either 60 something or 72/75 I forget which.

Are classes that full where they're scheduling all the way out in December as first available?
