That being said, holding out for the 175 right now would be, in my opinion, a penny wise, pound foolish decision. Highly prized among airline executive management but not very smart for an airline pilot working in a seniority based system. If you hold out for the 175 now, you may be sitting right seat in three years to someone who took the first class offered, hired two months before you but with a much better seniority.

Reserve recently has been very long but it is shrinking, and it's a fairly safe assumption that things will move fast. In previous years of heavy hiring, people spent just a few months on reserve. Everything comes down to how many people are hired after you get here, and all signs point to that being a big number if you are hired here soon. Best of luck.

They will definitely hire into it again but currently the 175 program is backlogged while the 145/CR7 programs have been relatively idle since the spring. Based on the current training schedules, I would guess that the 175 will again be offered to new hires in January/February timeframe.

Waiting on the 175 could cost you years to upgrade or worse, FLOW!

How would waiting cost your flow, besides a couple of months? Don't you just flow when your number comes up regardless or seat or rank? Can Envoy stop the flow?

If they are flowing 15 a month by the time that you flow, that extra 100 people in front of you could cost you an extra 6 months.

Well if they're only doing 15 a month that's another problem, more like a 10 year flow.
