Dumpster Fire That Is Mesa
This place is a dumpster fire, get out while you can. Majors don’t care about lateral moves, all they care about is that you applied to them and came to a damn interview. Value yourself as a pilot. AA’s wholly owned regionals are paying the advertised sign on bonus of $17,100. Plus an additional $23,000. bonus all on day 1 if you come in with 121 time and no 121 training failures. If you have a training failure, then it’s an additional $10,000 on the $17,000. Either way it’s a good deal. Not to mention they are virtual upgrading people instantly, plus have a quarterly $2500 retention bonus, profit sharing, and AAG group health insurance.

The last contract sucked, while a temporary improvement it was more riddle with holes than bin laden’s body. It shouldn’t have been voted in, and hasn’t done too much to improve the quality of life here. That’s because the quality of life here will never improve. If anyone thinks it will you’re incredibly naive. Look at how we almost fell apart last year and they never once did anything for existing employees, no retention bonuses, nothing. Anything that was done was attached to some other requirement. There were never any good faith, just here you go thanks for being here moments.

Going back to the “new contract”, hotels are still ****holes. They still don’t get crews hotels on cancellations, and they continually abuse reserve pilots.

Just get out and don’t look back. Go somewhere that values having you as an employee. You all just had an 18 year captain leave and go to Envoy, that should tell you something of the kind of place Mesa is.

But wait, there’s more! At least you all now have a Louisiville Kentucky base!

Glad I left, good luck everyone.

Good luck at Envoy! I don’t know why every DFW domiciled Mesa pilot isn’t going there if they can’t get hired at Southwest or American.

As one other pilot posted, when it comes to the regionals, “**** has different flavors”. Each for their own. If you don’t like it, move on. We all have our reasons why we choose carriers. I have heard of many Mesa pilots who are happy. In the end, each regional is a mere stepping stone.

I noticed that a few months ago he was saying how the new Mesa contract was a stepping stone to a better contract in the future.

However, I don’t begrudge a pilot going someplace, like Envoy, where there is a flow to American.

At least on my schedule, the purple are coverage awards.

Blue is good! Trips that were selected by your PBS bid.
