Hopefully age 31 should be good enough for LGA 145 in two weeks.

Quote: This. Just call and let them know. You could non rev home and 99.9% of the time it would be fine. But all it takes is that one time for that manager waiting for you when your scheduled DH gets in to JM you and you're not there. That can cause a big, big problem for you with some pretty big consequences.
The pee test person waiting for you could possibly end a career. That's a refusal of a drug test. Just call, and if they give you grief, Jetbridge swap LOA 11-03, section A.2 will give you what you need.

In the future they will if LGA is where they're going to send folks. But I guess it's all up to what American wants.

Folks have been struggling with the various HSI modes "colors" for different approach types during IPT which if not caught will trickle down to sim. Part of it I think comes from not having a comprehensive understanding as to the legality regarding the various colors and why they are specifically used for certain approaches. If that becomes fuzzy then knowing which vertical mode one needs to be in during an approach becomes even more confusing. Trying for pure rote memorization on the above opens the door quite wide for error. Add in the auto throttles and why SPDe vs SPDt and the mess gets large. I was lucky and had fantastic instructors that did a good job breaking it down.

I have also heard there have been issues with hand flown SE ILSs.

Know the colors, vertical modes, auto throttle modes and the nuances as to why you would use the various modes and you will be in good shape.
