What would you like to hear from them? If you weren’t already in a class, you’d just be getting smoke blown up your a$$. Not trying to be harsh but that’s the reality of the situation. When the time comes to start planning new hire classes, they’ll reach out. Patience is key in this industry.

I'd mostly like to hear that they for sure aren't going to flush the pool. I want to see it from the top in writing. That they are going to honor old job offers in the order they were originally scheduled. We have no assurance they're not going to replace the pool with Compass and Express Jet folks who blow me out of the water and I have no way to compete with. If I was in management I sure would. But I hope they don't.

You have no business working in this industry. You are in for repeated huge disappointments. Certainty? Honor? Assurance? In writing?

Yea.... unfortunately that’s not how this works and it’s the least of OOs concerns at the moment.

Why would any airline (or company) for that matter give guarantees to people who don’t even work there yet? As we’ve seen this stuff is changing all the time.

My guess is he’s a young kid whose upset he won’t be at a legacy by 25.

el. oh. el.

They cancelled upgrade classes (something that is not a mechanism allowed at all by the PPM) for people who were less than 24hrs away from their left seat check ride and told them "tough luck, bid again."

I hope that helps you re-adjust your expectations.

Compass and ExpressJet Pilots already have ATPs and passed part 121 initial training at some point. In the company's eyes, that is a safer investment than a 1200 hour CFI swimming in the pool. Just be patient.
