Pre covid, I applied at 1000h. I'd say try to apply as soon as possible to get a class date since they are booking them far out in advance right now.

Just started in aviation and now you wanna be a direct entry captain? There’s a lot to learn when you have an airplane full of passengers. Even if you had the required time and seniority to upgrade, sometimes 1000hrs isn’t enough. Just take your time, learn, and the upgrade will come.

I applied in April with 1150 hours (I need 1500). Got an interview in May and had a class date assigned by the end of May

What are the Junior bases.. How long before could hold a line in DFW. Also out of training could you get DFW on reserve?
