TipTanks already nailed it with a good answer, but just to confirm, SkyWest is currently offering class dates that are exactly 6 months out, but not quite at 7 months yet. If you are certain you reach mins in 6 months then I would apply now if you are ready for the interview. If you are not certain that you can hit mins in 6 months, then wait a month and give yourself some cushion and use the time to continue studying for the interview.

Thank you and PossibleDeviation for the response. I'll be unable to dress for success though, which is actually been a concern of mine. Currently overseas on a "rotation" and honestly, my main goal will just be to find a building with a room I can hide in that will reduce the chances of co-workers busting in and screaming about genitalia.

Will post in OO & 9E in hopes to get equal biased and unbiased input.
I’m here for career mentoring and new to the industry, I have only GA experience prior to having just flown two trips with OO out of ORD(DOH SEP2021) and now received a offer from 9E.
Pro’s to switching-
Home base ATL for QOL (eventually)
Positive Space commute for now
Training Completion bonus
Higher Pay now and top of scale sooner if we get stuck where we are.
Con’s to switching-
Having to explain it at an interview though it isn’t hard to justify
Missing out on coast to coast flying for the next 3 years
Seniority restarts but at my DOH the rate of hire not a concern
I’m not knowledgeable enough on unions to say thats a pro but seems like it is.
Look forward to everyone’s thoughts and guidance.
