Come on man, apples and oranges. Wearing a nose ring is blatantly against the rules (and stupid looking IMHO) whereas what you just wrote follows the spirit of the rule. I buy Cut Above because the shirts are so much better. Does it break the rules? Yes, but it's better than the rules.
What's next? Flip flops, baggy camo shorts that are half way down with boxers showing, stained wife beater t-shirts, soul patches, and purple mohawks? It's a slippery slope from nose rings, tats, and beards.
