Will this development possibly have an effect of also dropping the time spent on reserve as a new Capt. in DTW/MSP, until they are able to hold a hard line?
Guessing here, but maybe 1 year on reserve as Capt. until one can hold a scheduled hard line, which hopefully would provide the opportunity of 1 or 2 more days off each month?
Also, any chance this growth could also lower the time to upgrade in other bases such as Atlanta? Roughly the same time frame I would presume, give or take a month or so?
Thanks, AU

Person had prior 121 for sure...infact every person over 4000 number seniority probably has prior 121 or qualifying 135....furthermore, I wouldn't be the least bit suprised if the company has unfilled crj captain vacancies every month lately.

It doesn't matter how long you've been a captain, but how long you've been at the company. Until you're here for 2 yrs total, expect reserve (as a CRJ captain obviously). This may or may not change in the furure, but either way not a bad deal at all, given the historical upgrade/reserve times over the last decade.

I never speculate on reserve time. To hard of a target to hit. Someone upgrading in may would have zero reserve time because they are finishing right at summer block hour increase.. someone upgrading right now my get a line for the holidays then scratch there head why they are on reserve jan-may next year... as far as the other person asking were to see the awards. Fltopps>standing bid > awards> sort how you want to see it..
amcnd… ahh more lines during the summer, understand completely. Also forgot that more senior F/O's could bid for Capt. months later and keep a person unable to climb out of the reserve status.
Thanks you for your reply and insight... AU
