I'm currently interviewing in October, MSP is my ideal base. Am I reading this correctly? 35 years from junior to senior at MSP??

Nobody even close to 35 years in MSP.

Is this due to attrition, retirements? Combination of both? Maybe some growth factor?

Cheers,
G

A lot of pilots hired over the last two years may not have reached upgrade minimums yet. 2500tt 1000crew turbine etc.. Many more don't want to commute to reserve to a junior base. -Typically DTW. COS does not have commutable pairings for the most part, you really need to live within two hours of the airport. Many reasons though why bids go junior. And around the holidays a lot of people figure they'll just wait until the after the New Year.

And yes we are growing. A lot out west. And we have a lot of attrition. 20-30 Captains a month and even more FOs.

Growth, attrition. Good news for those that don’t have the time to upgrade for 2 years. When you do you will already have people below you. No reserve, better sked. Ect..
