If you think that is my concern then you have a reading comprehension problem.

You went on a long diatribe about the FOM and its jumpseat priorities and how you're worried about your certificate. Don't be such a moron......the FAA doesn't care about the priorities. Go ask your POI if you need to worry about a violation, he/she will probably laugh at you. Your FOM probably also says you have to show up 1 hour prior to departure. Do you think the FAA is going to violate you if you show up :59 minutes prior to departure. You're the FO every captain dreads flying with.

Newsflash. We don’t have a union at Skywest. But go ahead and carry on with your drivel. It’s entertaining to watch...

Regarding the fom and certificate action. This makes little to no sense.

1. If SAPA/ Skywest management (same thing?) is stating that there is not an agreement with ual and therefore it is against FAR to take a ual jumpseat then why wait until Tuesday? Wouldn’t you have to start denying Jumpseats immediately?

2. If you can’t accept jumpseaters as of Tuesday because of this FOM violation then why doesn’t your company enter an agreement with UAL/XJT/Commutair and amend the fom?

3. If you are goin to deny the jumpseat on principal, you can still that after signing the UAL proposal.

All I care about is that the FOM is accurate. If Jumpseat priority doesn’t matter then it shouldn’t be in the FOM. I’m sure you’re right that the FAA isn’t out looking to find people in noncompliance with their Jumpseat rules. All during school it was always about “Look back at the FOM” and “Look at the SOPM.” Same during IOE. They always said don’t get into habits that violate SOP or FOM. Now there are unwritten rules about what I can just ignore in the FOM? Good grief.

Their Management is making it harder for their pilots to get hired by major ALPA carriers. It makes sense. They are desperate to retain pilots.

Did you comprehend the pedigree of the author? Your insinuation that he has no inkling about unions or union tactics is laughable. Oh how I wish he would log on here and smack down some of you fools...
