[QUOTE=123AB;3364770]I think the email that said ATP/CTP would be held in conjunction with class came out on in early January. Like you said the email said more info coming soon but nothing else has been sent out. When I agreed to the CJO, the recruiter also said that 3 months prior to class, to look for very important onboarding items that need to be completed, like drug testing, but that email or task list has not arrived and I am well within 90 days as well.
I reached out to my recruiter on email and the phone about the drug testing and other items, but it’s been two weeks and nothing but crickets. I know they are busy, but it kind of feels like we out here without anything to go by. I am still sticking it out, but I have been starting to explore other employment opportunities. I am just looking for relatively decent communications, but it doesn’t seem to be happening and that concerns me about a future employer.[/QUO
Yep, feel your pain. I was scheduled for a class in January, got covid the day before. It took almost 2 weeks to hear back from them. My class now got pushed 6 weeks.

This was my experience with SKYW. Most of my time is military decades ago, owned an Amphibian (LA-4 200 EP) for about 10 years and quite a bit of Cirrus SR-22 time with several companies. Already have ATP with plenty of PIC and ME Turbine time.
Submitted application Jan 13, 2022
HR responded next day to upload documents. Medical, FCC License, ATP, DD214 (military), snapshots of logbook etc..
I had to rally and get all the stuff I said I had. Change Class 2 to a Class 1, FCC license was expired, etc...
Uploaded all required info Jan 17th
HR sent a link to schedule a Virtual Interview with availability. I Chose Jan 26th since I needed to prepare for interview. No significant recent experience. Just IPC and landing currency in Dec 2021.
Interview lasted just under an hour via zoom or something similar.
Received CJO Feb 02, 2022.
20 days application to CJO
CRJ class date Feb 25, 2022
Application to class date start in SLC will be 42 days.
CJO to class date 23 days for CRJ, it was longer with ERJ. Closer to 6 months.
During my interview the CA stated they are losing 150-180 a month and only hiring about 120 a month. At 59, I have no interest playing the reserve game chasing the paycheck with a main line carrier. I'll upgrade and be a check airman until the magic age of 65. I know this is a sample size of 1, but I thought it would be good to share. This forum has been very insightful and this is my attempt to give a little back....
Hope to see you around campus.
Cheers

I have an April 19th training date for the CRJ. I received an email recently saying the training would be in person and would that I would be getting more information soon. Anyone else here have that date? I'm wondering how soon before I hear about drug testing and other on boarding information. I reached out to my recruiter this morning.
Although I definitely agree that the communications have been very lacking. Trying to contact my recruiter has been like trying to talk to a wall. Emails have a 2 week response time and my recruiter doesn’t have their voicemail set up so I can’t even call and leave a message. Of course I understand that they’re very busy over there but it’s becoming increasingly frustrating and I’m trying to not let it give SKW a bad reputation in my mind before I even start working for them. Good luck to you guys!

For those having issues with recruiters answering the mail, just hang in there, it will get better. I know everyone is chomping at the bit to get started and looking for as much info as possible, but with the amount of in and out happening right now, they are a bit overwhelmed as you can imagine. I'm not going to make excuses for them, but communication does get better once you are in the system. I'm two thirds of the way through training and the training coordinators have been responsive for the most part. It hasn't been perfect, but as long as it gets fixed - no harm, no foul. The HQ's is not staffed like a major and with the number of pilots going through the revolving door (FA's too, but that's a separate department), HR is doing the best they can to keep up. They really are focused on the next class, which happens each week on either the ERJ or CRJ.
From all my years in the military (you want to talk about information black holes sometimes ), I've always found a whole lot of honey and patience went further than constantly using a 200 pound sledgehammer. It may seem like they've forgotten about you, but they haven't.

This right here. Everyone is swamped. You will have plenty of time to get all your info uploaded before you start class. Once you are in class, be prepared for potential delays. COVID ran through the instructor group (on the ERJ at least) not too long ago and caused a lot of hiccups in the footprint. During sims if you are worried about forgetting something because of a long break, observe other students sessions. Ask around your class or at the hotel who is doing what session and observe it. There is a current wait for IOE because of LCA's are so busy and the new LCA's haven't gotten their fed ride, so it is taking awhile. Have patience with everything during your training, worry about what only you can control (studying and being prepared for each lesson) and you will be on the line soon enough.

Has anybody had any luck with the waitlist for training dates? I have gone around the pattern too many times.
ERJ, June as it stands right now.
