I flew with a retiree Skywest Pilot and he was telling me that he had a class date for this 135 operation. I’m at a part 135. I didn’t believe him at first.

If they run this thing like a net-jets/flex jet model it could work. Time will
tell.. They may even get some current pilots to jump to that side.. Waiting for sapa’s response…

Fixed it for you.

People with NetJets/FlexJet money aren't interested in flying around on a clapped out 200 driven by a 19 year old who graduated from ATP last week.

The JetCard/Fractoional business is a totally different model than on-demand charter, which is totally different than 135-Commuter operations to cover EAS routes.

No ATP if service is on-demand OR scheduled service is done in a single-engine aircraft.
Y’all need to learn how to read your FAR’s…

You’re missing the “or”

(1) Of a turbojet airplane, of an airplane having a passenger-seat configuration, excluding each crewmember seat, of 10 seats or more, or of a multiengine airplane in a commuter operation as defined in part 119 of this chapter, unless that person holds an airline transport pilot certificate with appropriate category and class ratings and, if required, an appropriate type rating for that airplane.

These are the things that need an ATP under part 135
-Any turbojet aircraft (any amount of seats)
-Any aircraft with 10 or more seats
-Any multi engine aircraft operating in a 119 commuter operation

I'm pretty sure Cape uses MEs exclusively.

They have Caravans too. I think the caravans are on floats?

Maybe Mokulele would have been a better example.

Default It's time to unionize

Let's start a union, I'm tired of SkyWest not listening to their pilots and taking advantage of us at every turn. We shouldn't be held responsible for managements poor planning. I shouldn't make half of what Envoy does when they do the exact same flying in the exact same planes.

Are you saying selling shares for owners? Or in terms of crewing? From a crew aspect, I can see the retired 65yo crowd trying to get in for a second life. But there is so much different about part 91K and scheduled 121.

My brother in Christ, I’ve always said we will never unionize until it’s too late. Hope I’m wrong. Would love to see a union on property but each day the writing on the wall becomes clearer…time to move on.
