Word on the street in ORD is we are about to open a Miami base for AA. The pilot who's been the major part of working with AA ops in Chicago hasn't been bidding recently and has been spending most of his time in Miami on company business. Plan is to announce in a few weeks to a month. Coincidence the pay package gets offered to us right now so we all vote it in before we find out about a bunch of new flying?
Hmm. Do we even employ any pilots from FL? Or is that going to go junior to MSP?

Rumors, you want rumors...
Miami and AA
DTW domicile for Delta
More (16)ERJs for Alaska
ERJs (40)for Delta
Of course whenever a pay package is up for vote, someone (probably from HDQ) gets a few started.

Don't mean to rain on anyone's parade but 40 ERJs for delta isn't possible right now I don't think. Pretty sure last time I checked they had 24ish 76 aircraft left to award under the current scope clause, maybe less if those 7 900's for gojets weren't included yet. 16-17 ERJs for delta might be plausible though.

They can save a lot of money and remain competitive if they merge everything. Just saying...
Just as a point of reference, at xjt they are required to have at least 10% reserve staffing for each base, seat, and domicile. Otherwise anyone who loses a day off get is restored at 150% and get an additional vacation day. As for ready reserve, they are not allowed to assign the same pilot two days in a row of ready reserve, no more than 6 ready reserve assignments in a bid month, cannot adding ready reserve on the last day of a block of reserve days, released from ready reserve 30 minutes after last plane blocks out, automatically release from ready reserve, and ready reserve is only 4 hours for 4 hours of pay.
