Hey jay I don't think you can go wrong with making the move. The pay scale is much higher here and despite the staffing **** show this place has become I still feel like my QOL is pretty good. I have been here for a year and am able to get a nice line with a good number of days off and good credit (no weekends off yet). Good luck!

What is meant by "possibility"? I'm looking at Skywest very hard and am just curious.

The company has the option to raise 1st year pay up to $36.50 without consulting Sapa.

If it passes first year pay will go up to $30. The company can increase to $36.50 without having anymore negotiations or another pay vote.

In the last package that passed there was an option to raise first year pay to $24 which the company used a few months later.

ok whats wrong with this one then? I just listened to the call and seems like allot more than the first offer a few months ago...

also curious about the
"Time Away From Base (TAFB) Guarantee of 1:4 for pairing construction:
▫ Minimum 1 hour pay credit for each 4 hours TAFB applied to each pairing."

what exactly does this mean as it could be some serious boku bucks in some ways...

It's what's known as a "trip rig." You're guaranteed 1 hour of pay-credit for every 4 hours away from base (TAFB).

It's basically insurance to cover against very inefficient trips, especially long 4 day trips, with long overnights, and long sits. This has been a real problem especially in MSP.

There are a bunch of 4 day trips in MSP that credit only 16 hrs (which is min. day guarantee of 4 hours per day.) but they start early on day 1 and finish late on day 4. These trips can have up to 80+ hours TAFB.

With this 1:4 trip-rig, that same 80 hr. TAFB 4 day trip would pay 20 hours instead of 16 hours.

Cool so the last proposal was $.50 but the new one will be $.59 for my longevity and seat. It's just shuffled around using terms to describe basically what's the same thing as the last one. The new scheduling software is already showing that it's more efficient so the new trip rig isn't really going to help too many people plus a lot of other carriers have it. I'm not done going through the it in depth but those stuck out to me the fastest.
