They know the same info TSA does as the launch customer of the MRJ.

Yeah, like we'll park 100 CRJ200s in order to get 50 of these.

Seeing as the E2 will be the successor of the most popular large RJ in the industry right now, and by a long shot, that's a very desperate attempt at trying to redeem some credibility. I feel inclined to evoke the fail whale on this one.

Whatever you say, hoss.
Quote: Aren't all of those orders contingent on Skywest getting contracts to fly them for majors?
Yes. But in there 40 years they havent had a problem with that yet.. Not saying it cant happen. But there track record with orders and taking them is realy good...

Well don't take my word for it. Just look at the financial reports INC puts out and what they think the fleet will look like over the next five years. Management says they'll park the 200s and they have not secured any flying to replace them as yet. That's what they tell the investors on Wall Street.

Now you guys that work in recruiting sing a different tune, but I guess that's to be expected.

Tell me, do your job duties include posting on this website or do you just do it for free? (and for those new to the thread envy us is not a pilot)

Yes, planes come, planes go. Maybe there will be a reduction in CRJ200s in the near future. Maybe there wont. The only 50-seaters Inc has said they are glad to get rid of are ExpressJet's E-145s. But seeing as how United is scoped out on large RJs and Delta is nearly there as well...how can they even begin to offer a 2-for-1 swap with 50-seaters to begin with? Class dismissed.

Right on.
Planning and setting yourself up for success doesn't equate success but often a necessary first step.
$30/hr wage...
Does anyone know if the increase to $30/hr for first year pay affected the number of applications Skywest has received? Any idea if mgmt will go to $36.50 sooner then later?

What can I say, I gotta feed my family.
