Are you referring to a Time Away from Base (TAFB) rig?? Also known as a trip rig?

It's a guaranteed pay ratio for time spend "on the road" working. SkyWest now has a 4:1 trip rig. This means that for every 4 hours you are away from base "working" regardless of whether your on duty or not (think sleeping in a hotel somewhere), you are guaranteed 1 hour of pay.

Example: You show up to work at 8am on day 1 for a 4 day trip. You finish your trip on day 4 at 14:00. You have a TAFB of 80 hours. Now, that trip you may only fly (and get paid for) 16 hours. With the 4:1 TAFB rig you are guaranteed a min of 20 hours of pay. 4:1 or 80:4 = 20

See ya in class!

The HSA is saving them way too much money to go away. They will have to adjust the deductibles and other things for to Obummer care but we all knew we were gonna get screwed anyway.

Just keep in mind at SkyWest all of the rigs, duty, premium, and trip, are based off of scheduled times, not the time you actually spend on duty.

Welcome aboard guys. I'm not totally sure but I would think IAH-ORD is an easier commute.

Shouldn't have to commute for too long though!

200 locals are 4-6 leg on United. 4 leg locals are far more common than 6 leg. I can avoid the 6 leg ones without much issue. There used to be a lot of good 2 leg 700 and 900 locals (SLC turns, MTY turns) but a lot of the nice 700 and 900 locals went to the 175 I think.

There are locals on United American and delta but all delta is 700 and 900 and very senior (mostly only SLC turns). The majority are United and American.

Credit varies almost every month. In the spring I held a whole line of 7 credit locals. This month I have all 4:30 credit locals. It changes constantly.
