I would absolutely prefer United to go to a once a year fee then unlimited free travel like Delta does. My family easily pays over $500/year for United benefits and they don't even fly that often and never international. If they were frequent fliers the cost would be huge.

What do you mean zero cost? United charges my parents and enrolled friend $36.50 for every domestic leg. Over $60 for International legs. If you have a 2nd enrolled friend the charges are even higher. If they can't fly direct and have to take 2 or 3 flights to get somewhere the charges add up fast enough that it's usually worth it to just buy a ticket on Spirit or Frontier.

Lol I think it's kind of funny. The amount of vitrol in this thread (and all regional threads) is just incredible. I get it, we are all regional pilots and struggling to make it through the frustrations of a bad industry.
A +1 to BlockedInn. I stayed there for a month. Expensive but they take care of you! The ORD crash pad is pretty sweeeeeet too! Minus the damn upstairs neighbours who are always "Training their dog." Don't worry, you'll hear their feet tons. Can't beat the area for a crashpad though! Right in the middle of Wicker Park.
God I miss ORD. Miami sucks! I haven't seen the sun since I got here.

I don't have kids nor will I ever as an airline pilot. No time or money for that sort of thing. Family to me are my parents and enrolled friends, who have to pay arm and foot to travel on UA even domestically. I'd love an annual fee so I can eliminate that burden on them.
Honestly, it was something that slipped my mind. At the end of the day a few hundred bucks isn't going to break the bank. It's just flat out insulting!

If he was a manager he wouldn't be *****ing about our bonus program. They have a better one.
That said if you want to make the big bucks NVUS go drop $80K on all of the flight training, spend years getting the experience to come to work here, and you to can get the additional $500-700 bonus as highly paid SkyWest pilot.
