Now when you're talking about a Legacy like Delta or United where 3rd year FO pay is significantly higher, and they get a 15% 401k contribution then it starts to become more worth it to take the quality of life hit for the pay raise.
To each his own. I see both sides of the argument. People who are single or have no kids and have the ability to move maybe would go to a LCC to chase the pay. Regional captains with young kids who can't move are probably waiting for a Legacy to call.
The most junior FO in Denver is on the 175 and has a pilot seniority of about 5/2015. ERJ training is in Denver and CRJ SLC. Sim location varies.

It really depends. As a mythical 10 year Captain at SkyWest and a LCA, it would take at least 5 years to beat my current pay at any LCC. Then, factor in that I tend to get weekends at least partially off and drive to work, I don't see myself leaving for a LCC.

I wouldn't bet on a meteoric seniority climb in any base on the ERJ though, expect transitions ahead of you for a few years.

Most junior on the E175 is a May 2015 hire as mentioned, same for the CRJ. However, there are a lot of CRJ FOs who have a bid for the E175 and will transition over when their seat locks expire, slowing the transfers out of ORD. Also, you will get a line right away in MSP on the CRJ, where as you will be on reserve for awhile on the E175 in ORD. Something to consider.

Is first year pay $30/hr as listed in APC info? And, there is a sign on bonus of $7500? If so, only if exp in EMB or CRJ regional jets? Thks.

Never heard of a crash pad having a minimum stay or making you sign a lease. That law is probably referring to whoever actually holds the lease on the property. In effect, you are just a guest (for a fee) of that leaseholder.

That's what I would think too but the guy who has a large portion of the crashpads in MSP is asking for a two month commitment.
