Has anyone not gotten an interview invite after filling out the preinterview questionnaire?

I don't expect much in this world, but I can hope for opportunity and a chance, because I deserve it and I've worked for it and will continue to work for it. The principal that I'm looked down on (at interviews) as someone less than deserving of professional courtesy because I don't have years of 121 or 135 experience is angering, to say the least.
Just how long after you've been in the right seat of an RJ are you going to "deserve" an upgrade? And then "deserve" a job at a Legacy?
Why aren't you working at Mesa? Couldn't get past the phone interview?
*** is this "professional courtesy" you talk about compared with pilots that have 121 or 135 experience? No one gets a free ride, and plenty of 121/135 pilots don't make it past the interview here. It's usually the "I deserve it attitude" that sinks them as well.

Johnny why are you bashing the airline you want to work for on a public forum? Being frustrated with this career is one thing, trust me we've all been there at some time. However airing your grievances and calling out our pilots on the SkyWest thread just shows everybody how much of a tool you are. Checking your victim/entitled attitude will do wonders for you.

It'll be mostly Brasilia FOs bidding to it, after their 12 month seat lock is up.
I don't think we even start receiving the 175s until next May-June. They've got enough pilots already here that have bid for it, that the earliest new hires wouldn't get it until early summer. I'd imagine/hope that we hire a bunch of pilots into the EMB/RJ before that.

Camielle herself told the flight school I instructed at more than a year ago they didn't need much in the way of CFIs, and that preference was given to people with prior 121. So there's that, from the horse's mouth.
I have zero face to face time with anyone over airline apps. I'm prepared to tackle any of my weaknesses, including aptitude, attitude and appearance (or anything else), but if you're going to give me advice I only ask that it be advice I can use. How would an attitude problem prevent me from getting an interview?I keep seeing people on here that claim they have a couple offers, and that the industry is hurting for pilots. My friends and I have had the opposite experience, and I know someone at most of the carriers. Our stories are so different I can't help but wonder if there are PR plants posing as young pilots here on the forums.

Those who CE feels might be a good match are invited to SLC and guess who does the hiring? CE? No it's us, the pilots. We the pilots of SkyWest take time out of our very busy lives to interview and select our fellow pilots. If CE said "they didn't need much in the way of CFIs" either you took her words out of context or she was talking more about you and those you run with. I'd say well over 25% of all the new hires I've flown with were former CFIs and many were well under 2000TT. And as time has passed the ratio of CFIs within our new hire classes is and will continue to increase.
What was I thinking? Your brilliant, eloquent and thoughtful post has made me realize that you're right, who am I to expect a checkride? What kind of self-righteous idiot expects a checkride? I still instruct, and I enjoy it. The next time a student has all the prerequisites met, I'll give him this speech of yours about 'expecting checkrides'.
Here I was, thinking I was deserving of an interview, a chance to prove that I've worked hard at aviation and in college to try to become the eligible and prepared candidate a turbine revenue carrier wants, but I don't even deserve a checkride.

Instructing is not beneath me. I still instruct for fun when I don't have corporate work. I enjoy it, and I'm good at it.
I have a lot to offer my next employer, and I'll do whatever amount of work it takes to show them that.
That's *you're* as in, 'you're much better off there', by the way.
Have fun at your job, fly safe and I hope things work out well for you. You can't offend me, especially with poor grammar and spelling.

Your postings are all any of us need to tell what kind of person you are. I know I’m not alone in telling you to go to RAH and stay away from SkyWest. You're not a fit here.

Yes he is! He's also very knowledgeable about Skywest and is a very cool Captain to fly with. However, he doesn't have much patience for those with an attitude or are complete idiots. I would definitely consider him a good resource if you want to know anything about our Airline... So Mr. Match, how bout that TA? lol
How's AZ these days?

I was referring to 'professional courtesy' as in, interviewers being polite and to those being interviewed. But, whatever. I don't care if you think anyone is entitled to professional treatment or not. I probably couldn't say anything to make you happy.

This is what I said. You're taking the time to insult me, but you're not taking the time to actually find out what I said or what happened.
She told multiple Chief Flight Instructors this. It's better assumed that she wanted CFIs to prepare for this hiring climate than it is that she met a specific one she didn't like, or hated every CFI she saw for a year.
I didn't say Skywest doesn't hire CFIs, I didn't say I met her at a job fair and she blew me off......
Get real, Matchpoint.

after you get the questionnaire sent back they will call you for an interview. I emailed mine back and some of the answers were not saved on the email. They called like an hour later and informed me and said not to worry about it. She then took the time to ask me the questions over the phone and offer me an interview as soon as we were done. Don't Forget your suit for the interview! It has happened, and mens warehouse in SLC loves it when you want a suit in three hours. good luck
