Got a call for an interview - reading this forum to see if I really want to take a $50,000 pay cut to get back in the cockpit full-time.

I hear you! Tough call. Wouldn't hurt to at least go to the interview though.

That's my thought.

How long would it take to get a DEN or COS base on the RJ?

Hello everyone,

I have a Nov. 25 class date on the bro. I live in ord so I was wondering how things are going on the bro. Are there still fairly quick upgrades from reserve to a line. What kind of time frame would you guess will be around in January after training. Also since I am from Chicago do you think there will still be a way to transfer to EMB or CRJ in Chicago after the seat lock.

You might get COS immediately, it's pretty junior. DEN probably wouldn't take that long either, but COS is significantly more junior on the FO side.

When I was hired on the bro, it was during a time of active hiring and movement like we have now and are expected to maintain for awhile. I spent just a few weeks on reserve, and in less than a year was awarded CRJ FO. ORD is probably going to have decent movement, so it's a good possibility for you after your one year lock. That being said, you never know for sure...

That's good news...long rsv period for the CO bases?

Thanks for the info. I know nothing is ever guaranteed in this business but never hurts to ask the people who are already in what they see happening.

Peak, if it helps I am leaving the cushy 60K engineering job to get back in a plane. As easy as my current job is, I still get stressed out spending 40+ hours a week in a small office with no windows.
