They were all under CL-65 type rating. I got ERJ-170 and ERJ-190 at airways. Strange how those planes have different type ratings but have very few differences (like the 700/900) but the CL-65 covers the 200/700/900 and there are quite a few differences between the 200 and the 700/900.
I thought the 170/190 is the same type rating like a DC-9 or how Boeing has the 757/767 type? If that's the case the E-Jet type is exactly like a CL-65.

The Ejets (170,175,190) are the same basic type. Differences training for the 190 required because of, for one, the auto brakes on the 190. At least that was it for the wife.

That's what I thought, just differences. Maybe I read the original post incorrectly too. No different than getting typed in a CRJ, DC-9, or 757/767. Do the ride in one and differences as required.

Anyone have a snapshot of what it's like being based in Seattle? Trips, equipment, qol? How's reserve? Is SEA expanding at all? It'd be greatly appreciated! I ask because I'm wanting to try something new and get away from my hometown for a year or two since I've been there just about all of my life and I know everyone up there is really friendly! Thanks.

For a long time SEA was the most senior base. But over the last few months it opened way up and now the junior FO is a February 2014 hire. Pretty sure it's all 700/900 flying and now they will be adding seven 175 to the mix. The company hasn't stated whether these 175's will replace Alaska 700's or not. But with DL wanting 30 gates there, I have reason to believe the SEA domicile will expand. If SKW does their flying or CZ does remains to be seen still.

What the difference between the autobrakes on 175 as opposed to 190?

None. Auto brakes are the same. Options on the 170 and standard on the 190 but if installed they are identical. Unlike the CRJ200 v 700 which has different systems (fuel, elec, etc) not to mention the leading edges, there is no difference between the 170 and 190. There are a few additions such as tail strike protection using the RA and rate limiter, and the over wing exits and a few others but I don't consider them nearly as different as the CRJ differences.

What's the 200? Been lucky to have not flown one in over a year. Getting spoiled down here in Texas but would be happy to trade some of this Mexico flying. Still messed up about the lax crews and the BJX trips and how it's being paid.

It's nothing short of criminal.

Which is normal for our management.
