A lot of 700 flying went away with the 175. I'm in the upper 1/3 and can't hold 700 2days/3 days/locals, only 4days during the week. Disclaimer, i bid for high paying days so I don't mind flying the 200 as long as it pays well

IAH is horrible. No one senior should ever transfer there. Having to only do flying the CR7 and sometimes the CR9 gets so old. Plus the overnights around the system are just horrible. Don't transfer to IAH. If you are junior it's a different story.

Can you elaborate on why IAH is so horrible? Is it because CRJ7/9 flying gets "old" as you say? What is the issue with the overnights?

On another note, can someone give me an idea of the healthcare costs for a family with one kid?
Thanks all!

He's being sarcastic and doesn't want anyone new in base except those behind him!

I personally think the better question is why we had a 1/19, 2/2 and 2/18 upgrade classes that were awarded on the DVR but were not on the update. Does that mean these upgrade classes have been cancelled or pushed back? Or is this just the typical typo that we have come to expect from any communication??

hey all,

I have an interview coming up in Feb but was under the impression that SFO would not be an option for a new joiner for at least a year or more.

But now they are advertising for new hires to be based in SFO.

How does that work?

They'll announce anything to get people through the door.

That being said, there are new hires in SFO.

There's really new people in SFO on the 175, the issue is when the bro winds down most of those pilots have bids for SFO 175 in, bumping these types back to Chicagoland.

I havn't looked lately but pretty sure you could have a decent shot at SFO on the RJ within 4-6 months. This summer there was some people going there right off IOE but who knows what will happen 6 months from now. Lots of movement right meow.

High credit 700/900 4 days are going to go a lot more senior than low credit 200 4 days, etc.

My personal favorite overnights out of ORD: TVC, PHX, SBA, MEM, AUS, SAT, YHZ, MSP, STC. CMX is nice in the summer but unfortunately I usually end up there in the winter.

I bid about 45% and I can only hold 700 and 900 trips if I want to fly on weekends. I can't hold 700 locals at all and I can't hold 700/900 4 days with weekends off. If I want weekends off I have to bid the 200. If I don't mind working weekends I can hold all 700/900. It will probably take you until under 60% before you're able to hold 700/900 trips on weekends, and it will take you until under 40% to hold all 700 and 900 on week days. If you're trying to bid locals you'll be under 30% before you can touch 700 locals.
Cool, thanks for the info! So what might be an example of a "bad" standup?
