It is a very sensitive Frasca 142 IIRC. You will do basic IFR airworks such as unpublished hold, track a radial, cross radial and ILS approaches. The crappy sim made it way worse than it suppose to be. Practice in a similar FTD if you have access to it.
nope.

[QUOTE=Seminole00;1821682]Read the gouge on APC and you'll be fine. BTW the plural of gouge is gouge.
Thanks.
And BTW, the plural of gouge is gougeS.
What is the plural of gouge?
Thanks.

My buddy just interviewed Monday. Only 2 in his group, both CFI's, no sim.

Its hilarious on the student council forums to see TC and many others all saying how much they would LOVE to go to Paris to do the sim. Berating other pilots who want the correct per diem and more than 4 hours of dead head pay. That's why SkyWest pilots will never vote in a union. Too many guys who can't see past the fact that they are working for free, but yet will do anything to get the shiny jet, the 'exotic' sim destination, the quick upgrade.

I've only heard regional airline pilots (and civilian pilots hoping to get there) use the term "gouges", FWIW.

Regardless of what Word Hippo says, he's correct: gouge is its own plural. At least, that's the case in the military, where the term actually originated from. Not just pilots, but other officers and enlisted folks use the term as well, both in and out of the aviation world.

Just in the process of submitting my application. Have a few questions if someone would be so kind as to help me out. I have prior 121 experience but haven't flown in about 8 years. My atp written has long expired and I didn't realize the 8/14 reg change until it was too late. (yeah, I guess I have been living under a rock)
Can anyone give me a bit more information on the CTP program and whether or not you are considered an employee while completing it? I understand it is at Expressjet in Houston and runs about 5 days if not mistaken.
Is getting home on weekends during class an issue? I've heard some conflicting things.
As far as QOL in MSP, how bad is it? To be honest, I wouldn't mind not flying much if I can be home often. From what I'm reading it sounds like that is a pipe dream. Does CS really fly guys out of base on reserve to sit in a (company paid for!) hotel just because they figure you shouldn't be at home. I get it happens occasionally due to staffing but as a regular practice, really??
What does a typical line out of MSP look like? Easy to drop/pick up trips? (Again, I think I know the answer to this, currently being understaffed)
Any additional info/advice/suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
