I remember back in 2008 when people were offered the bro and people decided to wait for a crj class instead. Was almost a 4 year mistake. Not that would remotely happen hear.

That could have been less painful for some of those people than commuting to the bottom of reserve for 4 years. I almost waited for a CRJ class because I live in a CRJ only domicile. I decided to take the earlier Brasilia class and commute. I'm glad I did it for just over a year but if I had to do that for 4 years while living in a junior CRJ base the whole time it may have broken me. I can respect where people are coming from waiting for jet class dates if they live near ORD and MSP.

Any update on this.. I was told no new hires for the 22nd of jan and 5th of feb classes for the ERJ so Im now in a pool. I dont mind being in the pool but I would like a date so> anyone know when the next new hire ERJ class is going to be? I was kinda guessing that it would be about 2 weeks after the 5th but what do I know.

What exactly are you looking for? If you want to know when you will have a class date on the ERJ here, we are not privy to that information.
All I can tell you is that no ERJ classes are scheduled beyond the dates you have given (to my knowledge at least). However, another "fact" is that the bid list of people wanting to transition from the CRJ to the ERJ has gotten quite large. It is unlikely you will see new hires on the ERJ here much, if at all, in the next few months.
Do what everyone else said, take the CRJ.

Most of the FOs on the ERJ bid list are seat locked for a while. That being said, they'll eventually get a class and push down any new hire taking the ERJ.
Take the first class available. The CRJ gives you a lot more options. Transition to the ERJ at a later time if you just have to fly it.

There's a possibility that the decision might bite you in the butt (ie 9/11 type event). But that knife cuts both ways...I deferred my hire date a few weeks because my wife wanted to execute a planned family vacation. I barely missed upgrade when the music stopped, but I spent the first few years of my youngest child's life as a senior FO instead of commuting to rock-bottom junior reserve CA. I don't care how much it costs on the back end of my career, those years were worth it. But you just never know...

Take the first CRJ class possible and transition to the ERJ after a year. That will probably get you 120-150 numbers higher on the list. Seniority is everything in this industry.
