I was just awarded 3 out 4 of my trips next month in the 900. Funny thing is I have never flown it. They will have to give me IOE and a line check. OCT is also my last month in the CRJ before I transition the Embraer 175. I'm hoping they pull me from the trips instead of giving me the IOE.

The 900 is fun! Especially when you taxi over bumpy pavement, the thing starts bouncing like a rusty car with no shocks.

Plus, you get bananas (on the Delta trips anyway). And the front lav means you no longer have to do the walk of shame to the back...

They'll give you a round trip and call it good

Curious how class dates get assigned. Is it first hired first served accept priority to upgrades or something similar? Saw a few that got conditional offers after I did but were assigned classes sooner. Not complaining, just wondered if there was any method to the madness. Thanks in advance. A lot to learn over here.

Last four digits of your social for seniority within the class you actually show up for... Supposedly

Depends if you are a CA or FO, if you are an FO you are basically already qualified. Same is true with Ca's but they will give them a 2 leg OOE check.

Remember, profit first, safety if it can be worked in.

Oh please. The -900 is a -700 with an extra lav, weaker performance and sometimes a second CDU. Aside from the phugoid oscillation occurring on taxi over a rough surface, and somewhat weaker takeoff and climb performance, I challenge anyone to know which variant they're flying without pulling out the checklist.

SKW surely does plenty of things in the name of profit rather than safety, but this isn't one of them.
