Call me completely ignorant but I do not understand this. You're saying that the E175 pilots are not allowed to jumpseat on their own airline? When I used to fly for a 135 operator that was allowed to jumpseat on virtually everybody? Can someone explain this process to me?

"re·cip·ro·cal
rəˈsiprək(ə)l/
(of an agreement or obligation) bearing on or binding each of two parties equally.
"the treaty is a bilateral commitment with reciprocal rights and duties"
synonyms:mutual, common, shared, joint, corresponding, complementary "reciprocal obligations and duties"
They need us far more than we need them.
BTW, ran this by a CP and he said the jumpseat was under my discretionary control.

Glitch would get fixed real quick if we denied the "recriprocal" jumpseat agreement to DAL pilots. SKYW pilots lack the will to stand up for themselves. DAL pilots are welcome in my jumpseat only, if they want to sit in the back they can buy an ID or find another ride.

Theres a work-around that makes it work for the 175 guys. You use your United N number when they ask you for your employee number, the company code stays SkyWest (OO) and you will then be listed as a regular jump seater. Somehow your N number is connected to CASS.

Ccb is right. Nothing will change until a few dal pilots are told they cannot ride on our e175. The problem is, a) who is going to be the one to deny a pilot the jump. Not me! B) delta pilots shouldn't have to miss work and suffer for something that isn't their fault. Sapa has been saying they are working on the issue but I don't have a whole lot of faith in it. It will get fixed everntually.

We need to be proactive and clearly delta couldn't care less about it. What other recourse do we have?
