Talk about a drama queen. We are bringing light to an important issue for 200 pilots and 60 more a month. That's all. No one is listening. And the "fix" isn't a fix. It's up to the gatr agent if she will 'bend the rule' and use the N number rather than the way every other SkyWest pilot does it. Sometime it works. Sometimes it doesn't.

There is not war here. But thanks for trolling.
ClickBoom clearly stated that Delta guys should be denied jumpseats on SkyWest until Delta fixes the issue. If anyone is off their meds it is him. Not a good way to get anything fixed.

Seems to me you guys should just pay the $50 and the problem is solved. To non-rev anywhere you have to pay that $50 anyways. I don't completely understand the issue, but denying jumpseats is not going to get this fixed sooner. I'd imagine you guys would end up worse off in the long run if you start denying Delta guys the jumpseat.

If it works, get your company (and/or DL and UAL) to issue a memo to gate agents saying its within the rules. Or get them to fix it. I thought JA was a Midas Touch genius that had your back? Is he cool with the union side of SKYW holdings not having this issue, but his favoriets having it?

And is this really about those ultra few people that don't want to pay the $50 a year for travelnet access? I'd pay $50 a year for unlimited non rev access to any other major airline system in the country if I was able to. This is hardly a line in the sand issue you're making it out to be.

As for drama queen, that's any idiot threatening a jumpseat war. I'm against a jumpseat war under any and every concieveable circumstance, except for actual scabs and those specific individuals that deny others a jumpseat. Anyone else that can get on, gets on. Period.

If my company or one of its connection affiliates had an issue with jumpseat listings and people at my airline weren't able to do it in certain situations, I would never advocate a jumpseat war on others.

How has it been a problem for 5 years if you just started flying E-jets 6 months ago? I thought this was an E jet only issue.

They need us far more than we need them.
BTW, ran this by a CP and he said the jumpseat was under my discretionary control.
If you try to deny a Delta pilot the jump and I am your FO you would need a New FO.

Just to be clear...the E175 guys don't have the option to just pay the 50 bucks. They do not have any Delta non-rev benefits and also cannot list as an offline jumpseater (because of this glitch) thus no js on any Delta flight. I hope the work-around mentioned above works but this is the first I've heard of it.

Nobody is forcing you to work. You would be free to explain your position to your CP, and since the jumpseat access is Captains discretion, you would be in the position of explaining why you refused to fly a legal trip. Since you fail to read and comprehend the English language, DAL pilots are free to ride the jumseat, its jumpseating in the back of the plane that is a no go with me. They can buy a pass, which is the same option they are offering me if the cabin is open.

Nope,
This has been an issue for more than 5 years, if you don't buy the access to the "riding in the back" lottery, no seat in the back, no matter what. Every single Skywest pilot who hasn't purchased Delta benefits will not be able to ride in the cabin under any circumstances. If the jumpseat is open and there are seats in the back, per the TSA, you must ride in an open cabin seat. Delta refuses to recognize the mutually agreed upon SAPA-DALPA reciprocal Jumpseat Agreement, since DALPA can ride in open cabin seats as per the TSA requirement, and SKYW pilots are prohibited from cabin access the Delta benefits aren't paid, its not so reciprocal. EJet pilots are just SOL.

A bunch of you are saying that our 175 guys should just pay to 50 dollars so they can JS, thats the problem, THEY CANT!! They have no option to pay the 50.. this is why this needs to get fixed ASAP.

Gotcha. That is a bigger problem then. Still not going to be solved by denying jumpseats though.

And it's the FOs prerogative if they choose to not fly with a completely Bitter person. So yes it would be my position to explain. But go ahead with your threats to deny jumpseat acess to Delta pilots. And yes I stand by my statement You would need a New FO
