Look there are ways to get your point across and get changes without Advocating denial of the Jumpseat to Delta folks. Here is a novel idea get the Delta jumpseater on and then educate them! On the issues You never know what position that person have or who they know, point being you can catch more flies with Honey than Vinegar.

Yup,
Via MM and followed all protocols, was told the same "sorry", WhyTF do you think I developed my position? I was told to my face "sorry" by the Captain of the flight. DALPA doesn't care, it doesn't affect them. As long as the jumpseat, riding in the cabin is my discretion, my position is there will be no Captain authorized cabin jumpseating on my plane, they are welcome to buy a pass or anything that doesn't involve Jumpseat Authorization for the cabin. Obviously this is for DALPA pilots eveyone else will have heaven and earth moved to get them on.

Well, I'm sorry you missed a flight. Shouldn't happen to anyone. I find it hard to believe that with a work around the agents can do, that the Captain just said sorry and that DALPA just said sorry. Seems to me there may be more to the story.

No I mean to list on a Delta flight for the jumpseat. I know it works because I have done it, as have a captain I flew with last week.
Again:
Theres a work-around TO LIST FOR A DELTA JUMP (edited for clarity) that makes it work for the 175 guys. You use your United N number when they ask you for your employee number, the company code stays SkyWest (OO) and you will then be listed as a regular jump seater. Somehow your N number is connected to CASS.

This was before anyone cared, there was no work around at the time. I almost missed out on important A/C purchase. The seller had said first come first served, I made the deal as another potential buyer arrived. When I took this to SAPA, they said they "were working on it" The answer from DALPA was they "were working on it" as well. 4 years later, status quo. This is not a new issue. I did commute for 6 years, so I understand the plight of commuting, and don't take this lightly.

Check out the SAPA forums, I'd rather not discuss the mechanics of JS-ing on APC (security).

If DALPA are denied the cabin riding option to bring the agreement in line with what we are "offered" they will get this "glitch" fixed most ricky tick. As it sits now there is no reason to get excited since they have unfettered access to our jumpseats, UAL, AA, DAL and Alaska, while we get the jumpseat only, if the cabin is full on DAL equipment. If a DALPA guy walks up to a SKYW EJet and wants a ride, we have traditionally given them whatever we can do, W&B wise. While I generally will move heaven and earth to to get any employee seeking a ride, DALPA guys will get from me, exactly what they are offering me. Sounds equitable to me....
If you start a one-man JS war, it's probably going to just you vs. them.

Tell me about a time you stuck to your guns in a fit of righteous indignation…

Because SkyWest flies for every major airline in the U.S. and I'd imagine it is a mess to figure all that out. If they are flying the E jets they are on a non Delta fleet. So, they shouldn't have Delta non-rev benefits, just United. They should however be able to jumpseat. I'd imagine the issue is due in part to this fact. The feet dragging may be due to the fact that SkyWest guys that are on the United only side were being positive spaced to training on Delta aircraft. Delta did not like that abuse. Used to happen all the time between DEN-SLC and ORD-SLC.
Rocky, sounds like you get this but for everyone else...
Ok. Once and for all.... Here it is.
SkyWest 175 pilots have no Delta NONREV benefits. Fine.
But...
SkyWest 175 pilots can not JUMPSEAT on any delta flight. Not even SkyWest equipment. We can't pay $50 to JUMPSEAT. There is a back door but it's only slightly effective depending on the gate agent.
Bro and CRJ pilots can JUMPSEAT on anyone regardless of which brand they fly or dedicated to. 175 guys can jump on anyone but DELTA paint planes.... Even Skywest delta paint!!!
This has been happening since the intro of the 175. (There have been Nonrev issues prior... but the jumpseat issue is isolated to the 175 pilots and delta jump seats.
Clear enough? This is super frustrating because no one seems to know about it and therefore no one cares to fix it!
