So you're saying there are 18,000 tools in the regional airlines .

Per the Pilot Policy Manual you were supposed to notify Crew Support within in 72 hrs after finishing IOE. Scheduling is Required to give you 3 days off after finishing long term training. This became policy in May, none of us were really told about it. Did you acknowledge the change?

I forgot I was on the Skywest thread for a moment reading the last posts...Lots of complaints!
I thought SKW was one of the better regional airlines to work for? Not true anymore?
What is the size of classes? How many are showing up to class lately?

Lately, I have seen more positivity in the Envoy threads since the new TA was passed, and all my former coworkers and friends that work there are not too happy with their current situation. I had one of my friends say "I should have waited the 90 days and re-interviewed at SkyWest instead of taking the first job offer I got at Envoy."
Take everything that is said here on APC with a grain of salt. There is bad at EVERY carrier. Go look at the mainline threads, and you'll see FedEx pilots, and American Airlines pilots complaining about how awful it is at their job when they're raking in 6 figure incomes doing the same job the regional pilots do only with bigger equipment.

I'm not sure why there is so much negativity. I have several friends, and former coworkers that work at SkyWest, and their perception and QOL is anything but what we've been reading on the last few pages here. Considering the fact that SkyWest has not offered a hiring bonus, and they're not having difficulty filling classes, I find it hard to believe that SkyWest is such a horrible place. Although the reserve situation sounds somewhat difficult when stuck on the bottom of the list, but since when is reserve an easy thing? Everyone starts out somewhere right? I understand some of the issues associated with a lack of a union to represent their issues, but it's not all bad at SkyWest like the negativity here would suggest.

Thanks for the info. I was unsure of the exact situation with hiring. Are they able to maintain 50 a month with hiring, or what have the sizes of classes been lately? Have they had a high number of no shows?

I'm not sure about no shows, maybe a new hire would know.
