If DALPA are denied the cabin riding option to bring the agreement in line with what we are "offered" they will get this "glitch" fixed most ricky tick. As it sits now there is no reason to get excited since they have unfettered access to our jumpseats, UAL, AA, DAL and Alaska, while we get the jumpseat only, if the cabin is full on DAL equipment. If a DALPA guy walks up to a SKYW EJet and wants a ride, we have traditionally given them whatever we can do, W&B wise. While I generally will move heaven and earth to to get any employee seeking a ride, DALPA guys will get from me, exactly what they are offering me. Sounds equitable to me....

Nobody is forcing you to work. You would be free to explain your position to your CP, and since the jumpseat access is Captains discretion, you would be in the position of explaining why you refused to fly a legal trip. Since you fail to read and comprehend the English language, DAL pilots are free to ride the jumseat, its jumpseating in the back of the plane that is a no go with me. They can buy a pass, which is the same option they are offering me if the cabin is open.
Last time I checked Delta, United, AA, US Airways, and Alaska own the seat in the Back if you don't like the rules go start your own airline with your own brand and marketing and sell your own tickets!

Again, I am not denying the jumpseat, just my consent to allow the jumpseater access to the cabin, the same deal they are offering me. Its not a threat, if you don't like that, too bad, do what you gotta do, guarantee that the CP's I know will not take walking off of a legal flight lightly. Do you really think I have taken this position without doing the research? You try to sweat the Captain on any flight over a Captains discretion item, you won't need to walk off the flight, SS will be taking you off.

It all seems pretty silly to me. I currently work for a 135 operator with CASS and ride in the back of DL flights every week. Why can't they just list you for the JS through CASS and put you in the back if there's a seat open? As soon as they put in OO to look for you in CASS does it just flash a huge frowny face on the screen??

I think the idea of denying a fellow pilot a ride home or a ride to work is ridiculous. I don't agree with CCB's method, but I do agree with his point. Why would a pilot not be allowed a seat in the back? As previously stated in this thread, the E175 guys are not offered Delta Benefits and cannot sign up so they are denied a seat in the back by the gate agent (personally I think this is the problem). If there is a seat available then you get a ride, regardless.

ClickBoom clearly stated that Delta guys should be denied jumpseats on SkyWest until Delta fixes the issue. If anyone is off their meds it is him. Not a good way to get anything fixed.
Seems to me you guys should just pay the $50 and the problem is solved. To non-rev anywhere you have to pay that $50 anyways. I don't completely understand the issue, but denying jumpseats is not going to get this fixed sooner. I'd imagine you guys would end up worse off in the long run if you start denying Delta guys the jumpseat.

May just be my shortsighted opinion but paying for a negotiated Professional privilege just doesn't seem right, especially when you support contracted operations for that specific airline. Again I completely understand non-revenue leisure travel to be different from Jumpseating to and from work. Just my two cents. I hope OO and DL get that resolved in a professional manner.
