If using the United N number on a Delta flight works then great but not sure it'll work.

It's OK to be dense, the Constitution allows you that right. Lets see, list all the Connection domestic cities and include the hubs, now list all the DAL cities and hubs. My bet is if you want to get from SAC to SLC it ain't gonna be on DAL, it will be Connection based, and if you include all the United Express cities my bet it will be a significant difference. Now vacation destinations would be a different story, but since we use our credit card miles to buy tickets, the non-rev experience is moot for us. Taking a chance on the gate agent not experiencing "that time of the month" is crazy when we have confirmed hotel reservations and every day off is precious.

Again:
Theres a work-around TO LIST FOR A DELTA JUMP (edited for clarity) that makes it work for the 175 guys. You use your United N number when they ask you for your employee number, the company code stays SkyWest (OO) and you will then be listed as a regular jump seater. Somehow your N number is connected to CASS.

Why is he a tool for this? He's wrong on a bunch of other stuff but this deal with the delta jump seat is bs. And I am tired of it too. It's been too long and there is no movement at all on the issue.
We need to be proactive and clearly delta couldn't care less about it. What other recourse do we have?

There is an isolated issue of E175 pilots only not being able to be listed on DL jumpseats/cass for some reason.
The issue may or may not be limited to only those few individuals who choose to not pay the $50 yearly travelnet activation fee.
Regardless of the technical source of the issue, there appears there may even be a very easy workaround simply by giving the agent a parralel employee number.
You want to remedy this by starting a jumpseat war to bring DL pilots to their knees, supposedly cripple the DL operation, and in a show of strength and power drive your percieved enemies to their knees in a "no justice no peace" fit of insanity. Copy.
But before you do that, how long has this been going on? How many people have actually been effected? How many of those effected could get around it by giving an alternate employee number or whatever? If a DL pilot refused to pay the $50 activation fee, do you know for a fact that they would still have unfettered jumpseat access with every agent at every station on every carrier in the system?
Calling for a jumpseat war is childish and is going to be counter productive for you. Get the chip off your shoulder and work within your little student council group through the proper channels to fix it the right way instead of acting like some self righteous victim about it and threatening not just OAL pilots but your own pilots in an unwinnable pathetic jumpseat war of mutually assured destruction.

Its so sad that you think you are on the righteous side of something like this, let alone that you have power of any sort to bring others to their knees.

No I mean to list on a Delta flight for the jumpseat. I know it works because I have done it, as have a captain I flew with last week.

Talk about a drama queen. We are bringing light to an important issue for 200 pilots and 60 more a month. That's all. No one is listening. And the "fix" isn't a fix. It's up to the gatr agent if she will 'bend the rule' and use the N number rather than the way every other SkyWest pilot does it. Sometime it works. Sometimes it doesn't.
There is not war here. But thanks for trolling.

I'm against any and all jumpseat wars. If you are in favor, man up and state your name. Also see if you can get your little student council to stand behind it. I'd bet that you are all alone on this and would be quickly sent to re-education camp if you realy pushed it. Maybe you can "deal the company another ace" and offer to fly C Series for 50 seat rates to get growth.

The appalling part of the current situation is that delta is now pulling in 1 bill + per quarter and not wanting spend a few thousand $ to fix the glitch. Not only that but DAL pilots show very little interest in honoring the recipricol agreement.
