Any projections on how long the hiring will continue?
I plan on applying early next year. I recently reached the mins but I think my company expects me to stick around a little while longer. I want to leave my company on good terms but I also don't want to miss the hiring boat.
Thanks.

Unless you have a contract, apply now. Don't wait. Seniority is everything in this biz.

You wont miss the hiring boat. Skywest is hiring 100 people a month indefinitely. They have been at that pace for over two years now. So you wont "miss" the boat. However, every class you miss that you could of been in, is thousands of dollars that you are missing out on. It is thousands of hours spent not at home. Seniority is EVERYTHING.
So if your current employer doesn't have a figurative gun up against your head telling you that if you leave we will kill you financially. You leave for the earliest class date.

Saw a skywest add on APC claiming a 3-year upgrade?
What's the current DOH for most junior captain award?
A buddy of mine upgraded right at the 4-year mark.

That's quite a stretch considering we have SKW FOs in new hire class. Not sure why they would do that, but everyone had their own reasons. At the rate you guys are hiring, upgrades should be pretty low soon I would guess.
