Anybody care to guess about how things will be looking for a new hire domicile in Houston in the next 2 to 3 months? Been hearing MSP and ORD are the only options.

It seems the most junior FO in IAH has around 7 months at the company.

This obsession about getting a domicile quickly is chucklesome, while my experience may or may not be the rule, for a 20 year career to date, I have had to commute for about 15 of them. Commute=more than 1 hours flying time or 3+ hour car drive. With at least 1/2 in an airliner, and of the airline commute all more than 1000 air miles away.
2 choices, man up, and accept the reality that you will either have to commute or relocate frequently, or find another career choice. Sleeping on your Spider-Man sheets and gazing at your Fathead poster of Emminem in your mom and dads basement will have to end someday.
If the thought of not sleeping in your parents basement scares you, you are gonna love TDY reserve out of base, 5 days of glorious 1 3/4 star hotel sitting watching a tube tv with 3 channels and wifi with the speed of smoke signals, and you might get to go do a turn with the #1 bid avoid CA in the domicile.

Got to love the fact that ASA is going to implement aggressive pickup for reserve. Since that was part of our previous pay package but MT said that since KB agreed to it, that he doesn't have to do it now. I guess that is what having a true contract will get you vs a promise made while sharing a nice big cup of koolaid.

In what way does aggressive pickup cost the company other than some initial manpower to implement it? It's one of the few win-win situations for the pilots and company. Crew support has to work a little bit less to assign trips, and pilots who commute to reserve can bid for the flying they actually want to do. I don't get it.

Ppl breaking guarantee because they get to choose their trips.
