how does it look for a new hire on the CRJ? sounds like the E jet is staffed up with longer reserves but what about the Canadian?

E175 = 50% reserve coverage in ORD for Jan.
CRJ = 0/2 reserves in Minny/ORD for Jan respectively plus of course the peeps just finishing IOE that weren't able to bid in Jan.
I'll make the ASSumption that the period you'll sit reserve might be a tad shorter on the RJ vs. the 175.

My best guess is 700's get replaced by 175's slowly over the next few years and that's about it.
How will the Alaska flying go bye-bye? We just signed a 12 year deal.

0 Reserve lines in MSP
2 Reserve lines in ORD

New Hires who are not scheduled to be completed with IOE before the 7th of the month can not bid for the following month since that is the deadline for when they update the bases in PBS. So anyone who finishes up IOE after the 8th of December they will not be eligible to bid for January's reserve lines. They will all be added after the bids are published on the 24th.

0 reserves for 150 pilots in MSP. 2 reserves for 154 pilots in ORD. 5 reserves for 23 pilots in PDX. Go figure.

Take your reserve lines and divide it by the total number of pilots minus the reserve lines. So 1% reserve coverage in ORD and 28% in PDX. Doesn't really matter how many reserves each base has because you can never drop anything anyways.

There's outs in all the contracts how much it costs for either party is privy to those who signed, but anything could be done whenever either side decides.

Just to clarify, you need to have ioe scheduled before the 7th so you can bid for the next month.

So if by the 5th,you have ioe schedule to finish by say Jan 28th, you can bid for Feb.

If you wake up on Jan 8th with no ioe but by the 9th they filled you up to finish by the 28th, guess what? February is reserve. And not bidding reserve, they literally make up a line for you.
