Type III is occasionally found at some southern outstations who want tDI fluid on hand for the rare occasion needed, where the station is mostly served by Turboprops. Type III has a lower sheer speed designed for DI/AI use on aircraft with "slower" rotation speeds.

Again, it's very uncommon, but it is used in the US.

Does anyone on the boards know if SkyWest is strict on their second interview? I have to wait 6 months and was wondering if they would consider cutting that down a bit. I thought the interview went really well too!

I have never heard of them cutting the time down. The important thing is to keep instructing, cloud seeding, etc. and keep flying while you wait. They are big on details. You need to follow all of their instructions to the letter and have all of the forms that they require. Don't argue, and if they start to teach you something play the student role immediately. Those are just a few tips that I have garnered from other people telling me about their interviews at SKW.

Crazy but I have heard of 2 pilots, both current 121, who argued with their interviewer. One was my recommendation.

Any current SkyWest employees I have a question concerning pass privileges please. How soon after employement can you get an international pass for your spouse?
Thanks in advance.

I think it's 30 days on DAL and 14 days on UAL.

Type II is actually banned by the EPA now (at least according to the instructor in my RGS) and Type III is extremely common for turboprops. All the Colgan outstations use it. You'll never see it used on a Jet though (at least you shouldn't).

Bryan used my computer to try. Not going to happen. Thanks again for the answers to his questions.
