After being here for 2.5 yrs, I can honestly say this is true. Especially after coming from Mesa...

Is it looked poorly upon to change an interview date because of work/schedule conflicts? With a week's notice?

After spending an afternoon filling out apps, you could have over ten airlines calling within 48 hours offering interviews. If an airline isn't flexible on dates, then it's their loss. If an airline takes over two months to get back to you, you're probably already in class somewhere else.

Any updates on how long it would take to bid SEA?

A long time, as in a few years at least. You could get PDX on the Bro in fairly short order though.

The current most junior FO in SEA is a November 2007 hire... so 6 years? Best bet if you live in SEA is probably to take the Brasilia and commute to SFO or PDX where you'll hold a line pretty fast while you wait for SEA.

The most junior brasilia FO in PDX was hired a month ago.

Currently, the most junior EMB PDX FO is an 08/13 new hire. According to the latest information posted last month, the most junior line holder (who could also be a composite line holder) has a 10/12 hire date.

True DAL or UA may try to push SKW around for compensation and rates..

But, at the same time, the ability to successfully staff a well performing regional airline operation will become a key factor in the very near future...

For example, If I was to hire even a cleaning company, a pool company or a landscape company for my home, I would like to make sure that they have the ability to perform the service.

What good would be some vendor who maybe the cheapest but the ability to staff the operation and perform satisfactory service is questionable???

I believe, that in the years ahead, SKW and other decent regionals, will have that as an advantage and a selling point in exchange for a higher price for services....
