If you want to go down that road then you could say we've been giving concessions ever since I was hired in 2006.

I looked at the merits of this 1 year deal in the light of what's been going on in the industry and voted yes.

The seat lock alone pays for everything in this agreement. SAPA estimated it to be a savings between $650,000 and $2 million a year.

You are right, we have....and that has probably been connected to the economy the increase in fuel cost etc. etc

This time it was time to stop. They cannot fill new hire classes, we are making profits every quarter and the legacy carriers like Delta are making record profits and hiring.........

[QUOTE=Slats;1571923]Do you have any idea how much it costs to not have a seat lock??? Ask pinnacle how not having a seat lock hurt them. Training events aren't cheap and the seat lock does not effect upgrade.

Seat lock=concessions???? Okay....

Did we take an hourly pay hit? Deadhead hit? Per diem hit? Min day hit? No, we didn't. Perhaps you should look up the word concession...[QUOTE]

I guess giving up the 1% a year pay increase isn't a concession. That should never have been negotiated away. That needs to be put back in at the beginning of the next round of SAPA discussions.

You've got to hand it to management though getting this past the majority of them. Push something that doesn't scream 'concessions' but at the same time gives away nothing, saves the company money and in essence, is a cut taking into account inflation. I'm sure there will be buyers remorse somewhere along the way when the reality hits. Many other industries this year are having to raise pay with a shortage of skilled labor.

They're hiring into both the Brasilia and CRJ. On the brasilia just about everything is junior. FAT and PSP are always the most junior. The only bases it's currently not possible to hold almost immediately are SLC and SBP but there's even been some movement in SBP recently, and SLC on the bro is getting some new flying out of DEN.

Junior bases on the CRJ are ORD, MSP and COS. Those have been the junior bases since I've been here. It doesn't fluctuate much. The most junior lineholder in those bases is around a year and a half.

If you don't mind, out of curiosity, which bases are Bro bases, which bases are CRJ bases, and which are both?
