I dont think Delta or United are pounding down the doors of those Captains with 1000 TPIC. There are tons of individuals with well over the "magical" number trying to get hired on at a major. My point is regardless of whether you upgrade or not, the wait may be awhile. If you are able to work at a reputable company rather than one you're going to be miserable at, I take the reputable one.

Im speaking from experience.

Two more questions if you don't mind.

How many did you interview with and do you know how many were hired and/or how many were not?

Thanks again.

This x1000... Coming from a former Mesa guy... Much much happier at Skywest and don't have to work a 2nd job!

the delta vs. alaska chess match in seattle continues. Is Tucson a skywest mx base? That seems like an odd city choice for DL if it's not.

Delta to offer nonstop service from Seattle to Palm Springs, Phoenix, Tucson, Jackson Hole - WSJ.com
Tuson and Palm Springs are both MX bases

Speaking of SEA, what's the FO seniority situation like? About how long should a new-hire expect until (s)he can hold the base? What about the Bro at PDX?

Curiosity kills. Many thanks.
