I saw that too. But I'm not really a prepackaged foods kinda guy.
It's funny, I'm writing this from Google San Francisco's office, where we get amazing gourmet cooked-to-order breakfasts, lunches, and dinners, plus insane amounts of snacks, 24/7, all completely free. Plus massages, workout classes, laundry/ dry cleaning...all free (except the massages which you do have to pay $30 for.) Free wine/liquor/beer on Thursday nights, too. Oh, and a gourmet coffee shop that's better than Starbucks (and free). The other day I actually went to a Starbucks, on the weekend, and accidentally almost walked out without paying, it's been so long since I've paid for coffee!
It is going to be quite the adjustment living off oatmeal and salads and reheated pasta in the Candlewood. But then again, Google never gave me the keys to a jet and told me to go fly it

How did you manage to get Clearance banned? He survived 900+ post without getting in to trouble with his "don't tell me I don't give a beep" attitude. He finally blew his lid so something must struck a nerve.

No offense, but have you lost your damn mind?! You're telling us that you're leaving a job at Google, to come work for a regional? How did you slip through the cracks of the interview team, because you're obviously insane. Seriously, the janitor job at Google probably pays better than SkyWest does.

They do. You get laundry and dry cleaning bags you can just leave at your desk and the Laundry Fairy comes and takes it away, then returns it a couple days later.
Also onsite haircuts (gotta pay for those, but they're discounted.) Onsite car service (you also have to pay for those.) If you are sick during office hours and there isn't a GBus to take you home (did I mention commuting on the GBus is free?), then they send a car and driver to take you home, absolutely free.
There's also a bowling alley and a big arcade full of old-school videogames.
And finally, there is apparently a sit-down Indian restaurant where waiters bring you your food. All for free. I haven't been there yet though.
The amount of food is just insane. There's food everywhere. I can't walk 50 feet without having access to tasty snacks.

I spit out my beer when I saw his little temper tantrum and then banned under his name. He finally got what was coming to him. Seriously hope no one hires that idiot.

Flying Part 121 has been my dream since I was 4 years old. I was all slated for a USAF Academy slot, but then they told me I couldn't fly since I didn't have 20/20 uncorrected. (This was before laser surgery.) After college I looked at doing the freight dog route, but this was in '94 when absolutely nobody was hiring for anything.
So I gave up hopes of an airline job. Went into the corporate (non-aviation) world, where I've been for the past 20 years. Earned all my ratings on the side, did some Part 91 corp flying, helped found a Pt 61/141 flight school and grow it from 4 to 26 aircraft. Bought my own aircraft, which I fly all the time. Logged north of 5,000 hours, including about 3,500 hours instructing.
Finally decided it was time to go follow my dreams. Having a very understanding wife (who is a private pilot) made the decision much easier.

I didn't do anything...I didn't send a note to the mods or anything. It seems like he may have flipped out and sent a bunch of us rude PMs at the same time. But I didn't ask for him to be banned, I just laughed at it.
