If the reserve re-write looks worthwhile after a couple months, I may roll the dice then. But after 4 years of abuse from AS, I will not be jumping at the first chance to be obligated to answer a 435 number while commuting to reserve.

My main point was more eloquently put by CCB. After hearing about how we are paid so well and don't need to make any improvements because everyone is so damn happy by KB, it seems like we have a lot of people moving on once the hiring picked back up.

They're definitely disillusioned in SGU.

The ones leaving are smart. Companies offering a real retirement with a real contract. Wish I could say I'm shocked more don't leave, but I've met too many of the Kool-Aid drinkers. They'd drink management's poo water if asked to.

Kinda makes me wish KB was still around so we could remind him of his message about the low attrition due to job satisfaction. Was it job satisfaction or the fact that nobody was hiring??
I have two friends who've been waiting for class at American. They both now have class dates on 12/2. One chose the American side and the smart one took the US side. hahaha......

Both are SkyWest CAs. And just so you know, most people view the 1000 as lifers, both of these CAs are inside the top 900 with one inside the top 600.

Just do a Google search for 'Skywest interview gouge.' It's spot-on accurate.

Be able to draw and explain a turbine engine.

Be able to draw and explain a precision runway with markings and lighting.

Be able to draw and explain the electrical system of your most complex aircraft flown.

Know your Jepp charts and IFR procedures.

If you're not sharp on a Frasca sim, go rent some time in one. In my interview group of 6, 4 were sent home. All were sent home because of issues with the Frasca.

But most of all, just be relaxed, professional, and try to enjoy the process. Really

Good luck!

The fact that you're terrifed is a good thing. The guys they lay the wood down on are the overconfident bozos.
