No, its real. From my understanding that is the logic that is going behind switching that many people from one PPR to the other.

No one forced you to bid the 175... Why are you trying to bring down benefits for everyone, instead of fixing the loss on the 175?

'Me generation", "because it isn't fair" and he isn't getting a participation ribbon/certificates for showing up to work.
Whining is a life philosophy for some.

I wonder how many of these things like the jumpseat issue, flight benefits, ect.. would have been fixed had nobody bid for the plane until they were settled? After we turned our cards on the ace we dealt SGU on the 700 and 900's and realized it was a joker, you would think people would've have been leery of agreeing to anything without having the details worked out first. Just remember, SGU doesn't give anything up until they have figured out how to take it away somewhere else.

The first question SGU will ask and what we should all be asking ourselves is "What are you willing to give up to get Delta benny's on the 175?" After all, we are just a regional. If we don't like it, we should just all go to mainline.

One month of denied jumpseats, with a 3x5 printed card explaining why would have this fixed toot suite. A few crew cancellations at mama D would have their attention and it would be fixed. But many want to work for mama D and are loathe to do anything but toadie up and "go along" to get on eventually.

I was on one of the conference calls when MT or SL (can't remember which) was guest attendee. When denying jumpseats came up, he said something to the effect of "That would not be a good idea" because everyone was getting sick of being left behind with seats on the plane. Shortly after that call, it was magically fixed. Still not fully reciprocated, but less issues than before. It was also around that time it was discovered it wasn't an issue with Delta IT like we had been told for the past year. It was because LH negotiated away those benefits. Someone can chime in if I am not remembering that right.

The reason SGU doesn't want a jump seat war is because it is their decision. LH has decided to save some coin by not giving the E175 pilots flight bennys and our representation (and our pilot group) have sent the message that we are okay with that decision. Once we start flying the 175 for Delta, there is absolutely no reason that all E175 pilots shouldn't have the same benefits as the CRJ group. But just because it is the right thing to do doesn't mean that it will happen.

That works if you hold a line, but how are you going to stick to that when you upgrade to MSP RSV CA and they TDY you to ORD to do some Eagle flying, or SEA/PDX to do Alaska flying? Serious question, not trying to be a twit.

Not really practical. You could call in sick or fatigued a few times but you could not tell the MOD "I don't fly planes that I don't get bennies on".

They could and very possibly would fire you on the spot.
