They are making the mistake of including old contract into the mix to say the Skywest captains are at industry scale. Contracts are about the future, not a combination of the present (Endeavor and Envoy) and the past (TSA, GJ, Compass, and all the others).
Skywest needs to pay more than Endeavour or Envoy. Skywest needs to pay more for not having a flow through. Skywest needs to pay more for not having mainline travel benefits. |

For how many years? I think 2nd year FO pay at Spirit exceeds first year pay for most upgrading regional captains.

Apparently it was unanimous
The part that was unanimous was afterward, voting for it to be after IOE. Would assume the 3 that had voted yes previously voted yes on this one as well since it was better than nothing. |
I wonder if RJ knows what it’s like to actually fly for 104 hours?

They need to improve pay and QOL for captains otherwise nobody will want to upgrade.

Nah. They'll upgrade. And at 1,001 TPIC they're hitting the doors for ANYTHING else. Pilots can play this game too, in this economy.

Source - senior FO that refuses to upgrade. |

No. FOs are not wanting to upgrade at the rate they used to. This is evident by them begging people over the past few months and hiring street captains. I also know countless FOs delaying their upgrade bids for QOL reasons. They can get 175 upgrades no problem. Convincing people to take an east coast 200 upgrade is a different story.
Source - senior FO that refuses to upgrade. Anyone who thinks the upgrade out east “won’t be that bad” better think again. Jerry is not running this company anymore and it is now ran just like every other regional. CC hasn’t got a clue and in 6 months we could be the ones going out of business. Coming here now would be an extremely risky career decision. |
