They are making the mistake of including old contract into the mix to say the Skywest captains are at industry scale. Contracts are about the future, not a combination of the present (Endeavor and Envoy) and the past (TSA, GJ, Compass, and all the others).

Skywest needs to pay more than Endeavour or Envoy. Skywest needs to pay more for not having a flow through. Skywest needs to pay more for not having mainline travel benefits.

For how many years? I think 2nd year FO pay at Spirit exceeds first year pay for most upgrading regional captains.

You would have to be a 17 year CA at the current rates to match 2nd year Spirit FO pay. Gonna be really interesting to see what happens this summer..

Partially right. 3 voted for the 1 year, the rest voted against.

The part that was unanimous was afterward, voting for it to be after IOE. Would assume the 3 that had voted yes previously voted yes on this one as well since it was better than nothing.

I wonder if RJ knows what it’s like to actually fly for 104 hours?

Of course not.

Nah. They'll upgrade. And at 1,001 TPIC they're hitting the doors for ANYTHING else. Pilots can play this game too, in this economy.

Are you kidding? What’s it’s like to fly period, like any body in management, they haven’t flown in years!

RJ and any body director level or above has not flown in 18 months!

That's exactly my plan. Upgrading next month, flying as much as possible to get that 1000-1200 tpic, then moving on. I simply look at this company now as a tool to get what I need and get out.

No. FOs are not wanting to upgrade at the rate they used to. This is evident by them begging people over the past few months and hiring street captains. I also know countless FOs delaying their upgrade bids for QOL reasons. They can get 175 upgrades no problem. Convincing people to take an east coast 200 upgrade is a different story.

Source - senior FO that refuses to upgrade.

I waited 6 years to upgrade and went east commuting while living in my previous base. I was bidding 20% as a captain and couldn’t get commutable trips and rarely had over 11-12 days off.

Anyone who thinks the upgrade out east “won’t be that bad” better think again.

Jerry is not running this company anymore and it is now ran just like every other regional. CC hasn’t got a clue and in 6 months we could be the ones going out of business.

Coming here now would be an extremely risky career decision.
