Surprisingly classes are full..... i think the Endeavor back log is helping...

Wow, just checked the seniority list, lost +30 the first week of April. How can this continue?

I think your probably right there. Also I think a lot of outsiders don’t believe Skywest that has led the industry for so long will be a bottom feeder for very long. Sort of a buy while the stock is low type deal.

The irony here is those buying low are helping ease the staffing problems, hence ensuring we remain bottom feeders for longer.

Not sure if this has anything to do with whats posted here but as a former Skywest pilot that left last month, I found it interesting.

Sitting in the JS of a Mesa flight, not only does the FO get a 20K+ bonus and a new Bose A20 heaset (1K value), but they all get 1K every month they dont call in sick and on that particular trip, the captain was flying at 300% pay!! Maybe thats desperation but money talks.

34 pilots have left in the first 9 days of April. At this rate it will be over a 100 for the month.

It ought to pick up after the summer when the majors step up their new hire training.

In my class at Southwest, out of 28 new pilots, 1/3 were from XJT or SKYW. (3 XJT, 6 SKYW). Most of the instructors would say: "raise your hand if your from SKW" since they get so many in each class.

SWA likes XJT/SKYW guys. I think SWA will continue to pull from inc. throughout the year.

Are there really no leaks as to what the pay package entails?!? I figured someone would elude to something without explicitly violating the NDA.
