The skeptic in me says company always goes for zero increase, ie it looks like a increase but it’s just money being moved around. Trust but verify I suppose, however my experience says ppl only look at hourly rate minus the few senior guys that look at 401k. You ask a new hire (in general) what they know about SkyWest and it’s hourly rate and bases, hence why , in part, we open more bases

Due consideration indeed. SGU might be in a position where they HAVE to pony up for recruiting/retention, but if they throw a big chunk of money at you there are going to some special carve-outs to go with it.

We just signed a 5 year deal last summer. And yess will know soon. Maybe this week... Or maybe we got tricked and it’s alm for nothing...

Also what happened to new hire voting restriction? After the last .. whatever you want to call it, I got an email reply from my rep saying it would be a week or so when they get it right. Crickets..

The company got a windfall last year.

But then recruiting and retention suffered. While they can pass a pay package with 51% of the pilots, they need more than that to actually staff the airline.

I don’t think anyone is very optimistic considering the last meeting was even disappointing to SAPA neg. team. That’s saying a lot, I am assuming.

Are we still filling seats guys? I still have no clue why...We pay the least. I keep hearing it's a pilots market and that seems true everywhere else but here. Sorry for the pessimism team. Just can't figure this one out.
