Very true. Classes are already full. But not booked out through summer like Endeavor.. matching pay will help. But we need another piece of the QOL puzzle...

We now have the worst reserve rules in the industry and the rest of our work rules along with vacation and sick accrual are well below anyone else. That along with a 6 month sentence to LGA will be enough to get new hires to look elsewhere.

Ask envoy who has the worse reserve rules in the country. Also from the sounds of it LGA won’t be all that junior.

LGA is a nitch ERJ base. So 20% of Newhires that go to the 175 will have to risk it. But still 15 more AS 175’s West Coast growth. So won’t be a factor tell fall
e175 NH’s.. they have easy 30 CA’s wanting LGA... Envoy Reserve is worse. I have lived through both Envoy and SkyWest reserve.. this reserve profering is new to us. We had it at Envoy.. think its just new and different and people like working the system...it’s throwing a wrench into that...

I hear republic pay rates.

Any rumors you hear about the TA are garbage. The only people that know details are under NDAs.

We will never see Republic rates or more importantly their rules. They will convince us that all the other carriers do credit or better so that will never leave. We might see 2 maybe 3% and probably some BS bonus program that will evaporate in a year when the company claims hard times.

The heavy sell will come from SAPA with help from the training department, just like always.

And the pilot group will swallow every drop and sing to the heavens with their golden bugles!

We will undoubtedly squander our best opportunity to lead this industry.

We are our own worst enemies!

I will be astonished if it's any different!

I disagree.. i think this time, If its anything short of matching the other 2 airlines out there it will be 80% no... And pilots will continue to get hired at the Majors/LLC’s at a 80+ per month rate..

Nope. Without a representative body that puts the pilot’s interests first above all else, and to unify, rally, and communicate with the pilot group, it will be status quo.

The pilots will pass the first BS offer, by a slim margin (~58%) Thanks to the hard working efforts of SAPA and the training department doing a hard sell job and the heavy rationing of koolaid.

Until this pilot group wakes up, and makes some real systemic changes in how we are represented. Nothing. Will. Change.
Same as it ever was. Same as it ever was.

Furthermore.....To hell with matching Republic or Endeavor. Pay rates are meaningless without substantial improvements to work rules and QOL.

Throwing money at people will only work temporary. The exodus will continue as long as people are forced to work 95+ hours, minimum days off, and uncommuteable schedules every. Single. Month. With no relief, ever.
