That's be called dropping.

But will scheduling ever do the dropping? I hear they always deny drop requests and most of the trade requests.

Captain staffing is severely different than fo staffing.

In den and slc at least (Im talking 3-4 times as many reserves on cap side vs fo)

I tried to drop everything on my schedule for 3 years and not one was ever approved. If you want time off call in.

I was just reading about the SKYW Q1 earnings and remember that sometime last year some people were saying how they had to vote for whatever the "great" pay deal was so the company could compete.

So how did it turn out, was it worth it? I don't recall the details of the deal but looking back, did the company pull one over the pilot group like most regional airline companies do to their pilots? Obviously SkyWest is making more money with the E175, hopefully you all got your share but from the looks of the APC pay scale, I'm not so sure.

I'll assume no responses means it wasn't such a good deal after all was said and done. Sort of a bummer that you guys gave away a 76 seat, more efficient airframe, for what looks like CRJ 700 pay. (Any major work rule enhancements with pay?) I thought you guys were in the drivers seat on that one. On that note, look what PSA did during that time.
