Yeah. All depends on if you will have a car or not. Obviously, having a car (or constantly using Uber) will greatly increase your living area options.

Without a car, the vast majority of ORD crewmembers live along the CTA blue line. You really can't go wrong starting your search along the neighborhoods that follow the Blue Line. Generally speaking however, the further south-east you move along the blue line toward the loop, the more expensive it gets. Jefferson Park, Irving Park, Avondale, Logan Square are good areas to start looking, and all decent areas to live. Once you get into the Logan Square, Wicker Park/Bucktown area things start to get pretty expensive pretty quick.

If you want to combine a bus trip with the train into your commute, your options are much greater too. Lakeview is a popular area, but you're adding a bus ride with a transfer to the blue line, which can increase your commute time and hassle.

PM me if you want.

Lakeview is kick ass. I never understood the people who live along the blue line just because they don't want to take a bus. Live where you want to live! Not where it takes 20 minutes less to get to work....

Yeah I was told to look along the Blue Line. Specifically Logan Square area. There's gonna be three of us moving in so trying to keep rent around $800/ month for each of us.

Logan Square is an awesome area. It's going through an insanely rapid amount of gentrification right now. The gentrification wave that started in Wicker Park is rapidly moving its way up Milwaukee Ave.

It's a double edge sword, it brings with it all the trendy bars, restaurants, and coffee shops, but it's also been pushing rent prices up and up pretty quickly.

If you're budgeting $800 per person for 3 people though, I doubt you'll have any problem finding a pretty nice place.

Park Ridge. Can't get any easier.

I lived in Logan Square in another life. It was great. I'd do it again, given the opportunity to upgrade. Although it sounds like it has changed.

Hard to say but likely ERJ. Serious growth over the next year.
